MESSAGE FROM THE MD

PW Contracting (Gibraltar) Ltd. was formed in 1990 under the name of Pipework Ltd and has grown over the years from "one man and a van" to the multi discipline Company it is today.

Over the years we have used our knowledge and experiences to adapt and refine our services to enable us to meet the changing needs of our clients within Gibraltar.

We recognise that change is constant and therefore there is a continual need in business to progress in order to be able to respond effectively.

A lot of time and resources have been invested in our people, systems and procedures, to ensure that PW Contracting Ltd. is able to adapt and respond quickly and effectively to client needs and to be competitive within Gibraltar.

We take a lot of pride in the Company´s image therefore the way in which we conduct our Business is important. This is reflected in the way we manage everything we do.

For example, the Company achieved ISO 9000 status in January 2007. The delivery of quality services is critical to our success and although it is recognised that responsibility for quality performance lies with the Managing Director, each employee within the Company has a responsibility as part of their every day role for meeting the quality objectives.

There is a designated Quality Co-ordinator within the Company to ensure that practices against the quality objectives are regularly monitored, reviewed and improved.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM


John joined the Company in 1996 as a temporary Plumber. He established himself quickly showing great potential for managing others and became Foreman after two years. John now oversees the main contracts as Contracts Manager ensuring work and resources are managed effectively to meet our client needs. John is a qualified Asbestos Removal Supervisor, Pool Plant Operator and First Aider.

Jo has been with the Company since 1996. She has many years experience working within the Construction Industry in the field of Accounts. Jo plays an important role in managing the finances for the Company and has developed and integrated the financial systems to enable us to operate efficiently. More recently she has also undertaken the role of Company´s Office and Quality Manager. Jo has lived in Spain/Gibraltar for 30+ years and speaks both English and Spanish.

Jimmy has been with the Company since early 2000 as a Welder/Fabricator. His broad knowledge of construction materials and methods made him a perfect candidate to control our stores and stock control. He is also in charge of material requisition, customs clearance and deliveries. Jimmy enjoys good relations with all our suppliers and the workforce.
